Facility directors
How does the solution fit into the facility project? What feedback from the teams? What impact on residents? Here are the words of directors who have deployed Les Roues Solidaires in their facilities.
A tremendous success - you have brought real joy to my residents. - Sihem Chahed, Director, Résidence EHPAD Fontaine UNIVI
Bringing Les Roues Solidaires into our facility project was straightforward and natural: the teams took ownership of the sessions within the first few weeks. The programme has become a highlight of our activities calendar, looked forward to by residents and caregivers alike. - Nursing-home director, pilot facility
The outings create real collective momentum: residents come together around a shared project, and many reconnect with outdoor activity they thought was out of reach. It has become a tangible tool to prevent loss of autonomy. - Assisted-living-residence director, pilot facility
Coordinating physicians, psychomotor therapists, APA instructors
The view of caregivers on the therapeutic contribution of the programme, on its articulation with other forms of care, and on the quality of post-session reporting.
The benefits on mobility and morale are striking. It's become our residents' favorite activity. - Dr. Philippe R., Coordinating physician, EHPAD Bel Air
We see a real boost in motivation and participation. Even the most reserved residents ask to go back. - Marie-Claire D., Psychomotor therapist, EHPAD Les Jardins
After three months of regular sessions, we observe maintained muscle tone in participants, where it was previously declining. - Laurent M., Physiotherapist, EHPAD Bel Horizon
Elected officials and CCAS directors
Feedback from local authorities on the integration of the programme into their public policies and its contribution to their constituents.
With Les Roues Solidaires, we give our elders a reason to step outside, breathe fresh air and reconnect with others. It's a tangible response to isolation and a genuine prevention tool, one we were proud to bring to our town. - Elected official in charge of seniors and inclusion, pilot town
The programme dovetails naturally with our existing outreach to isolated seniors and helps us reach fragile audiences we already identify at the CCAS. It complements our services rather than duplicating them and strengthens the link between our teams and residents. - CCAS director, pilot town
A mobile, eco-friendly bubble that makes the city smile: 50 outings, more than 1,000 people on board and over 25,000 views on social networks. The OuiCycle stirred local pride and built bonds where we didn't expect them. - City of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, 2025 rollout
Residents and families
Beneficiaries and their loved ones share what these outings have changed in their everyday life - always with respect for image rights and informed consent.
We pedal to paradise, but together, it's extraordinary.
Today, life is beautiful - shall we do it again tomorrow?
I feel alive again! When's the next ride?
Cycling, like in my childhood - unforgettable.

Text transcript
Voices recorded during a Les Roues Solidaires session (facilitators and residents).
We combine the useful and the enjoyable - sport with the social side, and a bit of discovery, exploration, seeing the town again.
Yeah, to keep investing in life and enjoying good moments - it's wonderful.
- So, are you enjoying it? - Yes!
When I was young, my parents bought a mini-bike for me and my sister. I didn't know how to brake, I went headfirst - I never rode a bike again after that.
- The pedalos! - Ah, the pedalos!
- There you go, they're tired. - Pedalling is tiring.
- So, was it good? - Yes. - Not too tired? - No. - Shall we do it again? - Yes. - Alright, let's do it again then.
- Wonderful! Go for it! - I had a great time.
I think it also helps with self-esteem, and with staying invested in life - for yourself, but also socially.
That's it. Staying alive.
- What shall we sing? - I don't know.
We pedal to paradise, but together, it's extraordinary.

Figures updated with each deployment
The impact-measurement platform will aggregate, on an ongoing basis, the data produced by every session. Your data will remain confidential. The aggregate indicators will be presented here and updated as new facilities join the programme.
Last updated: [DD/MM/YYYY].
Deployment indicators
Displayed as animated counters at the top of the page, automatically updated from our platform.
- • Cumulative number of beneficiaries since 2025 - [value coming soon].
- • Cumulative number of sessions delivered - [value coming soon].
- • Kilometres covered through gentle mobility - [value coming soon].
- • Number of active partner facilities - [value coming soon].
- • Number of municipalities covered - [value coming soon].
Motor-impact indicators
Drawn from the torque sensors built into every pedal set. They measure the muscular effort produced by each beneficiary in each session, and its evolution over the course of a cycle.
- • Evolution of muscle tone over the course of the sessions.
- • Percentage of beneficiaries showing measurable motor progress over a cycle.
- • Average duration of active pedalling per session.
Cognitive and psycho-social impact indicators
Drawn from post-session questionnaires, completed by the care team in connection with the beneficiary. The scales used are scientifically validated and aligned with medico-social evaluation standards.
- • Evolution of spatial-temporal orientation (internal scale).
- • Evolution of sleep quality (team-reported).
- • Evolution of mood and self-esteem (internal scale).
- • Sense of social connection (internal scale).
Satisfaction indicators
- • Beneficiary satisfaction rate (post-session questionnaire, scale 1 to 5).
- • Care-team satisfaction rate (quarterly questionnaire).
- • Re-subscription rate from partner facilities.
Transparent measurement
The methodology used will be documented in a methodology booklet, available in the Publications section. Each year, in March, we will publish a detailed impact report including the aggregated data of the previous year, methodological developments and avenues for improvement. Our methodology is co-built with Gérondif, CNSA, CARSAT and AFNOR.
Visualisation block
This page will embed graphs generated from our platform: muscular-effort evolution curves, satisfaction histograms, a France map of partner facilities. Implementation will be carried out with the dataviz module to be integrated on the CMS side.
