- The driver is trained in safety and in personal care.
- Our professional liability insurance covers the driver and the passengers, up to 10 million euros.
Do you ride when it is cold or rainy?
- Yes. We ride almost all year and adapt the length to the weather.
- When it is cold, we bring blankets and warm clothes.
- When it rains a little, we shorten the ride or shelter the group.
- When it rains heavily or there is ice, we postpone the session.
Does the facility need to prepare anything?
- No. You have nothing to buy and nothing to install.
- We arrive with the bicycle, the seat belts and all the gear.
- You do not need a storage room or a charging point.
- Our driver prepares the session with your team in 30 minutes.
How much does it cost?

- You can pay per ride or take a half-day subscription.
- We offer lower prices when the volume of rides goes up.
- Several public supports exist to lower the cost for the facility.
What if the person uses a wheelchair?
- We help the person move from the wheelchair to the bicycle.
- We work with your team to support the person gently.

Safety & supervision
Which vehicle category does the OuiCycle belong to?
The OuiCycle meets the standard for electrically assisted bicycles (EAB / VAE). Its speed is capped at 25 km/h.
Who is responsible for the beneficiaries during sessions?
Les Roues Solidaires assumes full responsibility for the beneficiaries supported during the sessions, under its Operator's Professional Liability insurance, which covers all damages - whether they concern passengers, the driver or a third party. The policy taken out with Abeille Assurance covers bodily injury up to €10,000,000.
What insurance coverage is in place?
Our professional liability insurance covers both the driver and passengers, up to €10 million, for use of the programme.
Accessibility & transfer
How does the transfer from a wheelchair work?
Our driver-facilitator supports the transfer from the wheelchair onto the cyclo-therapy bicycle, in coordination with your team and using techniques adapted to each beneficiary.
Eligible audiences
Who can benefit from the program?
The program is aimed at frail elderly people, people with neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis), hemiplegic people, and people with motor disabilities. The coordinating physician or psychomotor therapist validates eligibility on a case-by-case basis.
What are the contraindications?
Certain profiles require particular vigilance (severe unstabilised cardiac disorders, conditions in an acute phase). Our methodological booklet details the indications and contraindications.
Prescription & care pathway
Is a medical prescription required?
For integration into an APA care plan or a Sport-Health House pathway, yes: the prescription is issued by a psychomotor therapist or a specialist physician. For other uses (group activities in nursing homes, CCAS outings), no.
Funding
Which funding sources can I mobilise?
APA, departmental funders' conferences, CNSA, ARS, private foundations. See our full map and our support for building your application.
Integration into the facility project
How do we integrate the solution into our facility project?
We co-build the integration with your management, your coordinating physician and your team. The program fits naturally into the prevention, quality-of-life and social-bond pillars of the facility project.
Weather & seasonality
What happens in bad weather?
The vehicle is equipped with side covers and rain protection. In extreme conditions (storms, snow, strong winds), the session is rescheduled. The service runs year-round with seasonality handled on a case-by-case basis.
Team training
Do we need to train our teams?
Our driver-facilitator handles the full supervision of the session. A short awareness session for your teams (1 hour) optimises coordination and the post-session debrief. This awareness session is included in our offer to help care staff embrace a culture of caring.
